I hope everyone had as good a day as I just had. My son and DIL took me up to the Columbia Gorge Hotel up near Hood River, on the Columbia River. Six other people joined us for brunch. Very, very good served in 6 courses. Food I've never eaten before. Then we walked around just a little. I had taken a wheelchair but the grounds weren't very wheelchair friendly. But I was ready to come home. I know I'll get a nap while I'm watching TV tonight. It was expensive but my son treated me. Then brought me a cyclamen plant, my daughter gave me an orchid corsage. Well Emma... Sounds like you had a great time. My meal wasn't as elaborate as yours but I'll bet I enjoyed it as much as you did. Course, I live out in the country and there are not too many really nice places to go to eat. We try to save money and everybody brought 'stuff' to help out with the price. My youngest son and his wife are coming tomorrow and are taking me to Cracker Barrel... I really like the food there. My niece in Memphis worked at a Cracker Barrel for a while. I've heard the food is really good there. Enjoy your meal. Mine was fancy but I bet yours will taste just as well.
