I'm not going to shoot it Stella, I would have to learn to shoot the gun first!! AND, he certainly hasn't been run out of his natural home... I live WAY out in the country and besides my next door neighbor, who lives about an acre away, my next neighbors are about a half mile away. Theres plenty of woods for him to live in without crossing into my domain! He looked like he was a young animal and maybe he had searched my fence for a way to get in... and remembered, cause he went straight for the opening... which will be closed the next time he comes along. I love animals, but I was actually afraid of this one... what with rabies already found in our county. He wasn't acting funny, he just wanted to get away from that bright light that I was shining in his face... Down here in South Carolina we call them possums, and you see a lot of them lying in the roadways, especially this time of year...
