Sounds like your parents surely did have a pretty homeplace !We've planted everything on this property except a pear tree, an Abelia hedge and a forsythia bush..oh yes, a Blaze rose out back.....The place we owned before this was a case for the landlay...The woman asked for 1 month to move so we rented an apartment...During this month not only did Earline dig up all the plants and move them but she took the rocks from the flower bed and I don't know what all ! I learned just how thorough you have to be when writing down rules...Jeannie T ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On Sun, 20 Feb 2011 22:43:10 -0800 Emma Roses <roses4831@msn.com> writes: > > I got so upset with my mother's landlady when I went down to pack > Mama's things up to move her back to Arkansas. My husband has done all the planting on our property up here in Payson. He put in a fountain & waterfall in the front & then I picked out a bunch of flowers which would grow well in the back yard. So far, we have been successful in my decisions. I will probably be away from the computer in the next few weeks b/c I have to get this place ready to sell. I fell last week & have been waiting to get into the orthopedic surgeon to x-ray my foot. Of course, it had to be the same foot as my knee which I had replaced (the right one). I hope everyone enjoys their plantings & such. We still have snow on the ground up here. We had someone come in & clean up our yard late in the fall. Our next door neighbors had left for Phoenix & they have so many plants & trees in their yard. We always get all their leaves & blossoms which blow over here. So, I hope everyone on the list has a good spring. I'll be back before you know it. I just have so much to do & I simply cannot let it go any longer. Just the thought of getting the taxes done along with everything else is overwhelming! BTW, I'm not blacklisting anyone...and if I do receive any e-mails, I will try to get to them when I can. It just won't be right away, that's all. ~Jen in Payson, AZ ----- Original Message ----- From: <askgranny@juno.com> To: <southern-chat@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, February 20, 2011 11:00 PM Subject: Re: [SOUTHERN-CHAT] You can't take it with you... > Sounds like your parents surely did have a pretty homeplace !We've > planted everything on this property except a pear tree, an Abelia hedge > and a forsythia bush..oh yes, a Blaze rose out back.....The place we > owned before this was a case for the landlay...The woman asked for 1 > month to move so we rented an apartment...During this month not only did > Earline dig up all the plants and move them but she took the rocks from > the flower bed and I don't know what all !
