    3. Thanks, Anna Marie, Glad you liked my story, this one is from my present home. For many years I have had a small scissors in my sewing/work box. Always at hand. One day they were missing, we looked everywhere, under cushions, furniture, everything. This went on for a couple of months. Then one morning as I was getting out of bed I saw the scissors on the carpet between my bed and recliner, bright and shiny, an area that was walked on daily, vacumned twice a week. Where had they been??? Had something borrowed them and decided to return them? I will never know. Lucy and I were standing at one end of the huge ballroom. Other folks were scattered around admiring the mirrors, etc. Suddenly I felt a hard tap on my shoulder and was aware of the strong odor of a dirty body and rancid perf. Lucy smelled the odors too. She told me that I had frozen in my shoes and was white as a sheet and also said "Ler's get out of here." I felt a fanilarity with the place as if I had been there before. Was it a ghost or spirit that recognized me from the past and was trying to get my attention? All the old castles, churches, homes seem to have their own ghosts, spirits and stories to tell. If a person is of a sensive nature they can feel the presence of these things when they walk through these places. And........if they're repeats and we don't want to read them again........we all have delete keys on our keyboards. <smile> Oh that is soooooo cool about the Bible of your great-grandfather's. Has the person in possession of this Bible had any strange happenings? I understand about your eyes too. I have some problems with mine also and can't see nearly as well as I used to. My eyesight now keeps me from doing very much at a time, very frustrating. My stories might be repeats and boring to some. I have really enjoyed doing the research and sharing with with distant kin. I long ago wrote about my great-grandfather Capt. William Henry McDonald and his haunted house in Charleston, South Carolina in the late 1850's. He kept a Bible on the downstair's hall table for the use of guests. They would take it to their room and look for it to return it to the table, no Bible. They would find it back on the table. Who/what put it there? Recently , I heard from a descendant from his first , I'm from the second. Seems thisss person is in possesion of the Bible in my story. We have shared information.
