A good time was had by all! He started celebrating on the 7th and was still going after it on the10th! His Mom treated him and HERSELF and hubby to a trip to a Japanese steak house or whatever it is where they cook the food in front of you. Apparently they were at a slow time and Buzz is SO cute they put on all kinds of shenanigans...Loaned him a hat and cape,{ Was rather irate that he had to give it back } played special drums, etc. and he duplicated one of their tricks for me with a long fork before I could grab it...A GREAT time was had by all.. We had a white chocolate cake with white icing and poured on dark chocolate glaze and it was SO good ! Shadow cake, I think it was called..with white chocolate shavings/curls. Candles to blow out, of course....One of his fans sent him a box of goodies and this was saved for last and anticipated with much guessing of contents till he ripped into it and sorted everything out..I asked what was his favorite thing in the box and he immediately said ' EVERYTHING!{ I myself think it was the arrow head in the hand sewn pouch,,,echoing his own Cherokee blood lines..Or the neat cap with a bee on the front which he immediately clapped on his head. .} The money a couple of his fans sent was latched onto with great awe..." I can't believe this !'' he said....Luckily he had just opened a package that had a large size magnetic car key box he had requested so he stuffed all his birthday money in there and hid it behind the fridge, I think. { Wonderful idea !} I want to thank all you fans of the little 'monister' for sending notes, cards, gifts, and surprisingly...money...to make his day a happy one....I wish you could have seen him at his party. Son had planned to set off leftover fireworks, but lack of rain caused that plan to be put on hold...About the money sent him....I was teasing him about sending more of his antics around the world as he calls it so he could get more birthday money...He immediately started pacing, hand cupping his chin...mumbling" what could I say....Oh, we have to turn out the lights...." Well, I guess he's just out of luck on the money pouring in, because 17 year old Sissy was right in the middle of an art project and Bubba was playing a computer game as he relaxed during College studies...so his great riches scheme fell flat. At first he said I should put the money in his bank account, but then avarice reared it's ugly head and he thought of two things he'd been yearning for ...Oh that Buzz ! Incidentally, I asked his take on the Preacher man burning the Koran and he got pretty hot about THAT !Said" When he dies God is going to be SO angry with him he will send him right down to Hell! If he burns their Bibles how will the people know what to do ? " I wrote down what he said and he corrected a thing or two...Seemed very sure of himself...I asked was God going to do anything to him before he dies to punish him and he thought it over a bit and said " No" Guess the fellow better enjoy life while he can.....he's obviously made a bad decision on the bonfire deal....Jeannie T ____________________________________________________________ EXPOSED: Make $99/hr Online BREAKING NEWS: People are beating the recession by working at home. http://thirdpartyoffers.juno.com/TGL3141/4c8de07275b67e004cm06duc
What a grandson you have, Jeannie T.!! So glad that a good time was had by all. That was a pretty nice treat of his Mother. Those restaurants are not too inexpensive. We took my sister-in-law to one some time ago & her only comment was that "she went to these kinds of places all the time." Well, goody too shoes for her!! She didn't pay the bill, that's for sure. That is great that they let Buzz goof around a bit. Sometimes they can be so solemn...at least he caught them at a good time. I bet, however, that Buzz could catch most people in a good mood or time. He sounds as though he has a enjoyable personality. Oh, that white chocolate cake has me so hungry for one. I simply love white chocolate. Have never had a white chocolate cake in all my life. I think there are some white chocolate Nestlé's candy bars in the frig. I just might go out & help myself to one..even though I'm suppose to be dieting. Just went out & got myself one. Hopefully, Paul will not notice that it's missing. He's usually the one who eats anything extra in the frig..decided it was my turn...oops!! Just heard him come in. Well, at least I finished the candy bar. Now if he finds out that I ate it, I'm afraid that he will go off his diet. He just lost his younger brother this past Labor Day Weekend. Mike was only 60 yrs old & dropped over from a massive heart attack. Heart problems are definitely in the LaBonte family. Paul is on high blood pressure pills. Before he was diagnosed with prostate cancer he had lost 60 lbs. Then after he was diagnosed, he more or less gave up on eating properly b/c he was depressed most of the time. I really want him to stay on his diet b/c he is & has been over weight throughout his life. He has gone as high as 340 lbs & he's only 10'4" tall. I would have been happy to send Buzz a Birthday Card...but I had no address to send it to. Well, give him a hug & wish him Happy Birthday from Jen in HOT AZ!! Glad he had so many cards & surprises to go through. Did you ever get his book finished for him? Loved the thought of him putting all his money into his car magnet & putting it behind the frig. He has to be a little character. I'm sure I would like him. That is the age I taught for many years. He sounds like he could be a very precocious child. Got to get to some other e-mails. ~Jen in HOT AZ ----- Original Message ----- From: <askgranny@juno.com> To: <SOUTHERN-CHAT-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, September 13, 2010 1:13 AM Subject: [SOUTHERN-CHAT] Buzz's birthday > > A good time was had by all!
