    3. I agree, growing old isn't for sissies. Every time I turn around it seems that something else aches. I absolutely hate the white hairs which keep growing out of my chin. I feel like I'm Wanda the Witch..all I need is a big mole to go with the hairs!! I'm like you Ladonna & Paula..few hairs on my legs, under my arms & on my toes. I can remember when I was younger I used to shave my toes. Don't even think about that any more b/c I cannot get in & out of a tub since I had my fall & broke my ankles. Of course, it doesn't help to have a bad back. I was suppose to have more back surgery..but the last time I made an appointment to see the doctor I ended up seeing the PA & he had me going to rehab 3 times a week. I was finally able to find a shower chair that I could sit on in the shower b/c I was so afraid of falling again. You gals are not there yet...but take it from me, "Growing old is not for sissies!!" Guess what?? I think I'm falling apart!!! <g> ~Jen in AZ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ladonna Pipkin" <fromtheghetto@rocketmail.com> To: <southern-chat@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, September 07, 2010 7:26 PM Subject: Re: [SOUTHERN-CHAT] eyebrows PAULA AND ALL My eyebrows have looked the same since i was a teenager, that tweezing hurts one time one hair was enough never touched them again, i slap the nair underarms and on legs wait five minutes and step in shower, ain't got no toe hair but do have a couple facial hair thinking about getting them lasered while they are still dark am told it want work after they turn grey. its raining in Oklahoma LP --- On Wed, 9/8/10, *paula* <freckletoes@comcast.net> wrote: From: *paula* <freckletoes@comcast.net> Subject: Re: [SOUTHERN-CHAT] eyebrows To: southern-chat@rootsweb.com Date: Wednesday, September 8, 2010, 1:29 AM I just wonder if eyebrow hairs thin out same as our head hair and "other" hair as we get older?? I have about four hairs under each arm....wait.... one has three, the other only has one for a total of four. I never had hair on my big toes before I hit 50...what's with that? I'm not sure what is the purpose of eyebrow hairs but I figger we need them for somethin' or they wouldn't be hangin' around over our eyeballs. I prefer the "mother nature" look....but I do shave the hairs off my toes. paula in sw fla usa.... where we nearly had to strap on the water wings today.... monsoon!! xoxoxo ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jen LaBonte" <AZJen@npgcable.com> To: southern-chat@rootsweb.com Sent: Tuesday, September 7, 2010 9:17:12 PM Subject: Re: [SOUTHERN-CHAT] eyebrows *Paula* I have hardly any eyebrows..but used to put some in on the sides with an eyebrow pencil. My little niece, Heidi, used to love to play in my cosmetics while I was still living at home & my pencil along with a few other things mysteriously disappeared one day. I just never bothered to buy more things. (Heidi had passed away shortly afterwards & I guess I just didn't have it in me to replace those things.) My Mother shaved her eyebrows off when she was young. She would put hers on with a pencil. Actually she did a pretty good job of it. Used to dance with a couple whose wife would put hers on with black pencil. Eva had totally white hair & her eyebrows always drew many people's attention. She was an artist & I guess she figured they looked good. ~J ----- Original Message ----- From: "*paula*" <freckletoes@comcast.net> To: <southern-chat@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, September 07, 2010 3:13 AM Subject: [SOUTHERN-CHAT] eyebrows > my eyebrows are white and have been all my life.
