    3. Juanita, Many things that we older folks once took pride in and thought to be normal seem to have vanished along with common sense and respect for others. We have lost so much in the name of 'progress.' The big businesses are only concerned with the 'profit margin' with little thought to those who give them that profit. Many schools are very careless about what the kids are taught these days, keeping them from killing each other is more important than teaching them any subject. Good manners? What's that? I learned to have a good handwriting, I was proud of that. In fact I was chosen by my boss to address the VIP invitations to our new store opening many years ago. These went to the elite of Newport Beach, California and nearby. Many movie stars lived in the area. I remember addressing them to John Wayne, Christain "Buddy" Ebsen, and others popular at the time. I had 100 to do. I cannot hold a pen steady enough to even write my name, so sad. Arthritis and nerves. I will be 88 in October if I make it.
