He helped find his friend...he had hung onto a tree, the thought, when he got caught by the wind before he reached their storm shelter( dug in the ground)There was hand and finger prints where he dug into the grond trying to get to the tre...but it beat his brains out. Tey told me later (I was two) that my daddy sat holding him, crying like a baby. The family that was killed had 14 wooden crosses at their head in the cemetery.I don't know if anyone has changed that...it is in Ebernezer Cemetery...at Stanton.I heard that the two girls were afopted out by an attorney...or a doctor in Selma...said they had a good life.
