Sent: Jan 14, 2010 5:30 PM Hi Kay and all.... I'm warm but the snow is up over the tops of my boots! I never crossed the big water - was always too afraid of that long of a flight - but I had always dreamed of going to Africa. My travels took me to the south = down as far as the Panama Canal (by merchant ship). We sure do have it wonderful in the good ole U.S. of A. ;I've really enjoyed reading all the adventures y'all have had. xoxoxo ~~~: ) ----- Original Message ----- From: "jkaywojack" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, January 14, 2010 2:03:53 PM GMT -06:00 US/Canada Central Subject: Re: [SOUTHERN-CHAT] Travels.. Hi freckle toes, missed your chats, glad to see you back. Are you keeping warm in cornpone, IN? That potty experience in Mexico is one that I could certainly do without. We just don't have any idea how fortunate we are in this country until you hear about how the rest of the world lives. Paula, I'm sure you have seen many things, been many places and certain things stick in your mind. They do with me. Have you been to the Grand Canyon at sunrise and watched the colors change as the sun comes up? Have you sat on a Pacific Coast beach and watched the sunset? Have you been to the Mesa Verde cliff dwellings near Durango, Colorado? Very interesting. Have you been to the French Quarter in New Orleans and eaten a praline sold by a street vendor? Had a cup of coffee that will let the spoon stand alone? Just some of the things I remember.
