    3. That's a shame. We did end up cutting a very large maple tree on our property back in IL, but there were more reasons for doing it than to avoid raking leaves. We had many leaves in our yard & we always raked them in the fall. The only bad thing was that we couldn't burn them b/c people complained they had asthma, etc. We used most of ours for compost. The ones which we knew had a lot of acidity in them, we bagged them with bags which we bought from the city & they picked them up along with our other things which we could recycle. We saved when we recycled...mainly b/c we had a big compost pile & put much garbage in there. Heading toward bed...Paul I know is getting anxious for me to call it a night. ~Jen ----- Original Message ----- From: <askgranny@juno.com> To: <southern-chat@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, December 03, 2010 10:24 PM Subject: Re: [SOUTHERN-CHAT] We're kinda squirrely... > My computer was down 2 nights running so I'm a bit late answering my > mail....Loved reading about your trees and their denizens...Sister Reba > got me interested in trees, and I still am a tree watcher even though she > passed away a couple years ago.....Trees are like husbands...can't live > with em, and can't do without them.
