    3. Ladonna, They give you a phone number you can call on that URL that I gave you. I have a Medicare phone # which I call here in AZ..but I'm not sure if it would apply to where you live. The number is: 1-800-633-4227. The people are usually pretty nice. I know how you feel. We are concerned about a lot of things which are coming up; however, why not call Medicare & ask some questions & then Google Humana & see what they have to say. I had to make several calls the other day, b/c I just found out that Medicare will only cover pap smears every 2 yrs. I called my doctor & they are supposed to have all my records on their electronic devices..but they couldn't tell me. Then I called the doctor I will be going to & asked them about the coverage & they suggested that I call Medicare. They said that Medicare would have a record if they had paid for a pap smear for me within the last 2 yrs. Well, they had nothing & all I can figure is that my last pap smear was when I was on regular health insurance. I'm 66 yrs old now..but just turned 65 in May 2 yrs ago. The young man who I talked to at Medicare said that he didn't see how I would have any problems b/c they had no record of me having this test. Maybe if you called the number I gave you & ask if they had a number near where you are in OK, they could help you? I got my hands on this number b/c I was checking into coverage for my husband when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. They are helpful..& unlike some places, they didn't put me on hold for forever!! Ladonna, when I was airlifted to The Mayo Hospital in Phoenix, we were told that I had coverage there...we were told that when I started going to Scottsdale to the Mayo Clinic there, that I had insurance for them. Turned out that after a certain amount, everything came out of our pockets b/c I was "out of network". That's one term to remember b/c that taught us a big lesson. The other thing that you should remember..and we learned the hard way too, if you get a bill which is beyond your means to pay...all you have to do is show that you are willing to pay them something towards that bill. Once they take your money & cash that check or however you pay them..they will have to take your money from then on b/c you gave it to them in good faith. We lost nearly all our savings to The Mayo Clinic & hospital b/c no one told us I was "out of network". They refused to take a small payment each month & there was no way we could pay what they were asking. Well, after talking to them several times, we cashed in most of our stocks & bonds...that nearly exhausted our total savings for retirement. If I had just known that, instead of asking if they would accept say $100 per month, I had just sent them a check, then we would have been okay. Hopefully some of the things which I have told you will help you or someone else out. I have a good friend down in the Valley & her husband has been to the Mayo Clinic & Hospital on several occasions & all they do is pay they a small amount each month. Oh, how I wished I had known that when all this came up!! I know of 2 people who have Humana..don't know whether or not it's Human God Choice; however, they are quite pleased with Humana. Thing is, they have Humana as their supplementary insurance..like we have Blue Cross/Blue Shield as our supplementary insurance. I guess you could go to www.medicare.com to find out more about Medicare. I have been thinking about going there when I got a chance, but so far, that hasn't happened. As I'm sure you know by now, the government is going to be taking away much of our Medicare in either 2013 or 2014. Sorry if I have upset someone on this site for saying this..but it's the truth. Today I got a complete e-mail about how the death panels have been put back in by Obama. I didn't know they were out...but I guess he's putting them back in.
