    3. Belle, it must be difficult to have such incidents occur. From your chats, you seem to have weathered the storms and are able to offer encouragement to others. Your friends and family must greatly appreciate you. In my early years I had some incidents that destroyed most of my faith in anything or anyone I was aquainted with and I haven't been able to restore it to the point I once had. If you are curious I can e-mail you privately. also to others who might be interested. To all you good folks, I have been fortunate in all my moving around to have had good and interesting neighbors who soon became friends for life. A couple of unfortunate incidents but mostly good. I could not have made it without the good and caring ones. I have lost several of the 'old timers' inthe last few years, I miss them. different races, religions, many varied personalities, making life interesting. One special lady was a door to door sales person who stopped in front of my house while I was working in the flower beds. She came up to me and said, "You look like a nice person, may I use your bathroom?" I said "Sure," and showed her in to the house. she told me who she was, what she did, etc. over coffee and cookies. We became close friends and it lasted until her death in 1972. She stopped at my house in October 1953. This was in Southern California. She was a Christian Scientist in her beliefs.
