    3. *Paula* You really had quite a time the other evening. We will not even go out at night b/c of the wild pigs (javelina) & all the other wild things running around. Have never been that close to a gator & never want to be!! We presently have ants which are coming into our home..in the kitchen. We finally discovered their nest or entrance. It's along the entrance to our porch. They are actually going in between the walls of our house & coming into our kitchen!! They are not grease ants, fire ants or carpenter ants (thank goodness). They are these little tiny black ants. We have sprayed & have done just about everything one can think of. The other day I could have sworn Paul went to the store for some ant poison & he came home with some weed poison. I reminded him of the ant poison but he said, "No, he said he was going for weed poison." Therefore, I think one of us is going daffy. It's probably me...seems like I am doing some goofy things lately that there is no reason for...and what is bad about it, is that I honestly do not remember doing these things!! Take care of that foot our yours. BTW, did you get all that information which I sent you on how to build your own dehydrator? I could have sworn I sent it to you, but I never heard one way or another. Maybe "I just thought I sent it to you" & I really didn't.<g> ~J ----- Original Message ----- From: "*paula*" <freckletoes@comcast.net> To: <southern-chat@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, September 23, 2010 12:45 PM Subject: Re: [SOUTHERN-CHAT] the gator /fire ants > Kay.... ammonia works as well as anything. 3. Jen.... yes, I did get the info on the dehydrators and thanks bunches. We're in between everything here...nearest Costco is 40 miles although one is planned for only 20 miles from us. Right now, I'm not doing much stocking of anything. Have various goodies growing in containers - harvested over twenty bell peppers off one little plant. am in need of more dirt though. As far as Costco etc., I hate shopping so I have a really good excuse to not.....haaaaa.....tooooooooo far.....toooooo much gas.....tooooo blah blah blah. I have same thoughts....how much gas used vs. savings. Most of the time hardly seems worth it. All just makes me wanna spit - and cuss - and spit some more!! Now, if I were a man, I could do that and snort, and grab my butterbeans, and snort again and spit and cuss and no one would give it a second thought......boooo hissssss...... paula in sw fla usa....time for java in a clean cup today xoxoxo ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jen LaBonte" <AZJen@npgcable.com> To: southern-chat@rootsweb.com Sent: Thursday, September 23, 2010 3:07:22 AM Subject: Re: [SOUTHERN-CHAT] New light bulbs- changes coming *Paula* I was just telling Paul tonight that we had to stock up on some "regular" light bulbs..if indeed there are still around. 3. Mornin'.... interesting to think about going to "where we came from".... one of my male cousins did the DNA tracking and turns out the furthest back roots are in the Netherlands and lead to a tribe of people called "Sami". The Sami tribes people married Vikings - guess there was no one else around then...but WOOOO HOOO!! Somewhere along the line, someone went to Spain and then on to Scotland. Now, I don't know how this happened but someone married someone else in Siam (now Thailand). Of those places, I'm pickin' the Netherlands or Scotland UNLESS I find out I'm actually akin to an ET from the Pleaides - in which case I'm outta here!! paula in sw fla usa (so far anyway) xoxoxo it's a good day to be alive

    3. I'm so late getting to your e-mail post. Glad you found the quote. I may have been able to help you with that one. Out where I live, you should learn about La Raza, MEChA, The Plan of Aztlan (especially in AZ) & The Plan of Santa Barbara. Those are just a few of the groups who feel as though the southwestern states belong to them. HOWEVER, the U.S. paid these people for the land that we now live on!! They just didn't "take" it lake some might want you to believe. I don't object to folks coming into our state (AZ) over our border, if they follow the rules. They shouldn't be allowed to cut in line in front of someone else who has waited patiently in order to become a citizen. Thing is, most of these folks have no desire to become American Citizens. They merely want to come here so they can work, make money & send it home to wherever they are from. Of course, they want all the "goodies" that come when you live in the U.S. (Hey, Paula, I would be glad to go to wherever we came from. Actually, I would find it refreshing to be away from all the 'stuff' that is going on nowadays. <g>) Love & xoxoxoxo ~Jen in Payson, AZ ----- Original Message ----- From: "*paula*" <freckletoes@comcast.net> To: <southern-chat@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, September 22, 2010 8:50 AM Subject: [SOUTHERN-CHAT] FOUND THE QUOTE!! > Obama: "Mexicans" Were Here "Long Before America Was Even An Idea" > > I knew I would find it....just took me a couple of seconds. 3. Emma, I will be very happy when the weather turns cooler here. Like you, I'm hoping for a regime change in Nov, just wish it was time to change the president. Can't believe all the damage that has been done to our free market system in 18 months. Really believe that we are getting close to our 1st and 2nd amendment rights being taken away, don't mean legislated away, but swiped away by presidential directive. And, like you, am praying for our country and for born again salvation for people. It's just regular fall weather, with some showers, and I'm enjoying it. I'm hoping for a regime change in November that will right the wrongs that have been made by this administration. I keep praying for America, that's all I can do. And, I'll get in my two cents worth in November too. They're supposed to last much longer, but they don't. Plus they cost an arm and leg and have complicated disposal guides if broken. > > The factory which made the old bulbs was deliberately shut down. And guess who is making the new bulbs? China. Our manufacturing is being sent to other countries so their wealth can be increased and ours decreased. Seems that it would be better to bring the other countries up to our economic level instead of reducing us to a lower economic status. > > Another example. Off shore oil drilling has basically been shut down for the U.S. But, guess what? Money was loaned to Venezuela for deeper drilling than what BP was doing. Mexico was just given money so they could drill in the Gulf. > > Seems there are many more changes coming unless something can be done to stop them. > > Kay in hot, hot AL > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to SOUTHERN-CHAT-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to SOUTHERN-CHAT-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to SOUTHERN-CHAT-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
