    3. I 'will' be care LaDonna!!! Now that it's all planted I'll only be using my 'little' tiller between the rows. When you let the throttle go on that one it automatically stops... thank goodness. Now I need to get out there and clean out the iris beds, where the weeds are trying to take over! 3. I don't blame you... I'd stay up there in those beautiful hills if I were you! I always wanted to go up there and get really far back in the hills and meet some real mountain people, if you know what I mean. I used to have a daughter in law who was from somewhere in Tennessee and she talked mountain talk... things like "worshed" for washed, and she called me "Mury" instead of Mary... stuff like that. I guess I should have gotten her to take me up there. She had 20 brothers and sisters... Y'all are keeping me up WAY past my bedtime... I'm going this time. Boy, didn't we get this Southern-chat wound up??? Wasn't it fun??? Talk more tomorrow... 1. Re: [SOUTHERN-CHAT] Tillers...
    2. Mary R Mungo
    3. Jeannie T., I bought one of those small tillers a couple of years ago and was out 'doing my thing' one day wondering why it was making such a whining sound, when all of a sudden it just stopped, dead in it's tracks. I tried to start it but it wouldn't even let me pull the string/cord, whatever you call it. Found out later that you had to put oil in the gas! Needless to say that little tiller is useless now. The motor is locked up. Went and bought another one, but now I know what to do. You live and learn, but that lesson was a little expensive. I use that little tiller after my plants are up.... it's great with getting the weeds out that are up close to the plants... Then again, it'll grab a bean plant every once in awhile. I can't get used to pulling it backward though... 3. Have you looked him up on the census? I see here that in 1870 he was 38 and his wife Louisa was 35... Do you have access to the census? If not, I do and would be glad to look up things like that for you. I hope we don't get scolded for talking about this...
