Hello lee....has spring sprung up there in the frozen north? Summer has arrived early down here...hot hotter and hot as hey-ell !! I am off the jelly doughnuts, hoping to get back to something like normal (whatever that is at this age). Seems like after a certain age, fat blobs hang on tighter than Pa Kettle could squeeze a nickel. paulette in sw fla usa black java for me

I like the Banana-Pineapple one...probably won't make any of the others. http://www.upword.com/bread/ban-tim.html
Linda...buy a package of sure-jell...the way to prepare juice is on a paper inside...with jelly recipes...it tella you how much juice to use, and how much sugar...the secret of good jelly is experience...being able to tell by the way ir looks , whento pour it up...and be sure to wipe the tops of your jars clean before putting lids on...and have a small pot of water on to boil...and drop the lids in a minute before sealing with them. Goodluck...nothing is better than blackberry jelly on a buttered biscuit! I put a vine out...down at my daughter's lake house. Stella

Stir together graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and butter in a bowl with a fork until combined well, then press mixture evenly onto bottom and up side of a 9-inch (4-cup) glass pie plate. Bake the crust in the middle of your oven for 10 minutes and cool on a pie plate on a rack (leave your oven on). Whisk together condensed milk and yolks in a bowl until combined well. Add juice and whisk until combined well (mixture will thicken slightly). Pour filling into crust and bake in middle of oven 15 minutes. Cool pie completely on rack (filling will set as it cools), then chill, covered, at least 8 hours. Just before serving, beat cream in a bowl with an electric mixer until it just holds stiff peaks. Serve pie topped with cream. Cooks note: Pie (without topping) can be chilled up to 1 day. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to SOUTHERN-CHAT-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
