Does anyone on here have a "my space" page???
Did y'all notice that B.O. remade the Presidential Seal to be the Obama seal?? This is so arrogant of him and those who designed it. Now, it seems he has done away with "his" seal - I wonder why!!?? Wow. What a nightmare. We may be in more trouble than we ever imagined. If B.O. actually wins, do you suppose he will be our next fascist president? Woodrow Wilson was the first fascist (that I can think of) as he had people tossed in the clink for SPEAKING out against his policies. Dig out the REAL history books - not the rewritten ones and read about it. And did anyone see "The View" when Mrs. B.O. was on?? I heard she greeted the other panelists using the "fist tap". Can this be true??? Could you just see someone like Eleanor Roosevelt or Jackie Kennedy greeting a foreign dignitary using the "fist tap"...... Yo Yo Yo Homey...whut it bee...whut up... paulette in sw fla usa...... I need a diversion..... or not
No...I wish "MY Space" had never been started. That site has cost another life it seems...the 12 year old that dissapeared had been on there. They say that site can not be controlled.

Is it possible to buy any piece of clothing today and still have it 15 years from now - I think we're lucky if a shirt lasts two years. For the last several years I've been "shopping" at the Used Everything store..... all shirts were $1.00..... now they are $3 - $5 !! Cost of living hits everything. I don't buy used shoes though.....for some reason doing that just seems icky. I'm with you, I've often thought people could look a little more modest when they come to church. When I mentioned it to someone I was told "but at least they're in church". I'm glad they're there, yes, but I was brought up to wear my best to church and always look nice. I taught my kids the same way. My daughter taught her Sunday School that you wear accordingly as if you're going to meet the King, which you are. You wouldn't go to meet Queen Elizabeth looking like some people do. I'm with you. I sure didn't know the kids had to pass a test to get into Kindergarten now. It's a public school, how can they deny him entrance? I realize some kids are more ready for school than others but I thought that was what Kindergarten was for, to get them ready for school. Jeannie, We are living in troubled times and are at the mercy of those who will attack us or rob us. In many areas, people will not call 911 when in trouble, they are more afraid of the police than they are of the attackers.thieves, etc. This should not be the case. All the older folks like me, live in constant dread of being attacked and unable to defend ourselves. Our neighborhood is a maze of short cross streets and culdesac streets.Anyone not knowing the layout could be easily trapped and blocked from getting out to the main street. It is very easy to get lost. My cousin says theives have been syphoning gas from cars parked in home driveways, her car was 'emptied' one night recently. She lives in a queit, upscale area near Atlanta. I wish we could go back to a time when we could trust and respect other people and not have to lock our doors and have a weapon at the ready. I'm glad I have been able to experience those times, just wish we could have them again. A close neighbor called and asked if we were missing anything from our cars...Seemed surprised when I told him we keep our vehicles locked at all times and have locking gas caps...HAH ! In these days and times it pays to be careful......When we go outside we lock the door...since thieves are going in houses when they see someone working outside..Our garden is way at the back of the long lot...I put a whistle and a key on a lanyard and wear it anytime I go outside...It's a habit now and I don't even think twice about it...No, we don't live in a bad neighborhood...we live in a country setting with brick houses up each side of a half mile long T street...BUT...folks drive around looking for easy pickings now that money is scarce, and the worse it get, the more of that stuff will happen..Folks better wake up in this country and realize the good old days are long gone, and we have to change with the times....It all becomes second nature and isn't a problem..just like seat belts...Jeannie T...Locked and loaded ! ____________________________________________________________ Beauty Advice Just Got a Makeover Read reviews about the beauty products you have always wanted to try http://thirdpartyoffers.juno.com/TGL2141/fc/JKFkuJi7VSD2NXEAK2k1gkefcMN4AxHLgEyfx0g0lroCf90rerxDCM/
Well, if Buzz could meet your cows he would insist on hugging them....He hugs every animal he meets, slavering bulldog, horse, whatever..... Yes, they're fun to be around, but so CONSTANT ! We won't get to see him this weekend, unless Mommy dearest has a meltdown and decided to dump him ...We've decided to hire a teenage girl to play with him and the little kids down the street....He starts Kindergarten in August..if they let him in...he's brilliant but untrained....Kindergartners have to pass tests now to see if they can go or not......Jeannie T ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ On Thu, 26 Jun 2008 18:45:18 -0700 (PDT) Linda Rogers <lindahazenrogers@yahoo.com> writes: > Jeannie , that age is so neat to be around .They are fun and we can > learn a lot from them . > Linda out here with the happy cows ____________________________________________________________ Sweepstakes!!! You know, I don't really care about getting new clothes or shoes anymore. Some people want a closet floor full of shoes. If I have one pair that are comfortable I'm happy. And I definitely don't want a pair of high heels... I'd probably fall on my face if I wore a pair now. I wear low heel shoes to church and dress pants and blouse. Everybody else does too... well not everybody... once in awhile somebody wears a dress! Linda, I know you'll be glad when the fires are finally out!! If that ever happens... Seems like they have fires somewhere in California just about all year. When I was at the San Diego Fires in October of last year, I decided that I would never work a fire again because the smoke in the air really messed up my sinuses. Course it depends on which way the wind is blowing I guess... I know, we got smoke the other day from the fires in North Carolina and they're over 300 miles away. It only lasted for a few hours though because the wind changed. I don't think I've seen anybody on here for several days... Is everybody out in the garden or gone on vacation? My garden is producing a few green beans and some squash... but that's all. We don't seem to have any bees!!! I just simply cannot pollinate those blossoms with a paintbrush! Lol... I'll probably end up buying vegetables from the farmer's market if I plan to can any and I sure would like to can as many as I can get... We're still in a severe drought and can't water! Are any of you in the flood areas down the middle of our country? What about the fires in California? What is this world coming to?
