    3. I have seen the Rockies and been through most of the USA but something draws me to the big water. The heat here is, at times, unbearable - but still we stay put. We considered Texas in the Fort Worth area but that just seems way too far from EV-ree-thing to me. The mountains do sound inspiring and peaceful......but no dolphins...or manatees....or shells. I need to take a trip out west......soon as some $$$ drop out of the sky..... paulette in sw fla usa life is good, most of the time On 7/10/08, Belle Shepherd <belleshep@cox.net> wrote: > > Not our Nevada mountains. 1. [SOUTHERN-CHAT] My Friend Loretta died last night ! Put This On Here For Her!=Carol
    2. Carol Hall
    3. God Whispered To Me ! Body: Lonelyness is one of the most hurtful SPIRITS that can bind man kind.. Even in a crowd of people and all talking at you, your still loanely.. In my early 50..s I had been feeling so loanely and could do nothing to make me feel better.. I was standing at the sink washing dishes with a window above the sink.. I was at the point of crying while doing dishes.. All of a sudden a little yellow bird fluttered in front of the window.... I thought of the scripture where Jesus say..s.. If I care for the birds that fall from the sky how much more do I care for you ??? I answered that thought back and said... Sure you love me !! That bird is no bigger that a fifty cent piece-thats not much LOVE !!! I ran to the bathroom with tears in my eyes, not wanting any one to see me... I was wipeing my tears standing in front of the bathroom window when I raised my head and saw the dandolines in the yard blooming.. I thought how beautiful and brilliant the dandolines looked this summer... But I had never seen so many in my yard before... Hundreds and hundreds of dandolines... It looked like the wind was blowing and rippling over them making them sway.. As I looked close I saw one dandoline fly-and I looked even closer and closer... Those were all little yellow birds !! Jesus whispered to me , "This is how much I love you" ! I stood there and cried with repentance in my hearts.. At that very moment Jesus freed me of a spirit of loanly-ness.. Thats been many years and this loanleyness has never come back.. It never will !!! When those little yellow birds flew away-I bet I did..nt have ten dandolines in my yard.. This is a true story ! 3. Not our Nevada mountains. We can see them from our front yard but they look like huge brown rocks, no vegetation. They are pretty when snowcapped. I like the North Carolina hills/mountains with the pine trees and others. Nothing can be as mindboggling and awesome as the Swiss and Austrian Alps I wish I was much younger and could afford to live in Switzerland. I felt so peaceful and comfortable there, as if I had lived there before. Oh well, I might as well be content here as I won't be going anywhere else. My neighbors don't bother me, I seldom see or hear them No animals roaming around. I do have friends coming over now and then when they have time. 3. I should have mentioned too..... when/if you can't get online always try shutting down the firewalls and anti virus programs before you go bee-zerk. Reboot a couple of times and if that fails Then call your ISP. sometimes the providers have problems - like Comcast did here the other day - and we don't know cuz how could we without internet access. Hope you weren't out a bundle of $$$..... paulette in sw fla usa..... storm is a comin'.... 3. My daughter says she likes looking up and seeing the mountains, that's her border, like keeping her safe. She lived in Gillette WY, the far east corner of WY. I felt like I was sitting on top of the world when I was there, you could see forever, it seemed like. There were plenty of wide open spaces that I saw. She lived out in the country and herds of elk would meander down close to her house in the evenings. It was sure different than anything I had been raised around. 3. Hey Carol and Paulette and anybody else on here! I've been off of my computer for a couple of days... I couldn't get online so call for help... Well, the young feller left about half an hour ago. I'm supposed to be on DSL and he couldn't get it to work!!! So he tries putting me on dial up and that wouldn't work either! So I don't have Internet!!! Merciful goodness!!! He told me that I'd have to take it to a computer shop and told me where one was. He told me that I should call my ISP and tell them to take me off the DSL and dial up!!! Well, after he left I came in here and tried everything that I could think of to no avail... Then I closed down my antivi*rus program, my firewall and zone alarm etc. and then tried to get on DSL and it worked... so they don't know everything, do they??? Now I can get back to living again! I do need to go back and reconnect to my antivi*rus program though...I thought that I had now lost all of my friends on Southern-Chat... Thank goodness I didn't! Now back to life in the country... I don't know what I'd do without my computer... Now I can talk to my friends again... My first doggie was named Jezebel.... she was old when we moved and my dad made me leave her with a relative. I missed her so much I could hardly stand it. After a time, Jezebel just pined away....she was put down. I guess I never forgave my dad for that. sniffle..... Oh, here's another sad doggie story..... when I was in the middle of divorce, I had a doggie named Wheezer that I needed to leave in the care of someone for only a short while. When I went to retrieve Wheezer one month later, Wheezer had been put down. No one called me or even hinted. I was so mad and hurt that I was just beside myself. See how MEAN people are!!! 3. As a kid, I can remember taking my wagon, going from tree to tree, picking the shells of the Catydids off..... ending up with a wagon load of carcasses. The Catydids were much much larger way back then or maybe they just seemed that way. My cats are good "buggers"...if there is anything at all in here one of them will find it. That's how I came across the pygmy rattler that was under the sofa.... all four cats were stalking it. Eventually it ran behind the TV where Krabby (who has no claws) kept it contained while I got my gloves and net and basket. 3. pAULETT, I love that black snake story- People think in different ways , don`t they... Now my neighbor killed a big rattler hanging out under his bird feeders-now I can`t handle that! I have black berry bushes, so I watch out when I`m around them.. There has always been yellow rattlers around here-must be a den some where..but I do know my cat help keep my yard clear of those kind because I walked out one day and there lay a dead copper head with claw marks straight down its body-apparently my cats didnt want to eat it..they like butterflys better.. Here lately my cats have had a bounty of locust, this is the 17th year-there gone now... Love you guys Carol in Ky. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Smoochie Newton" <smoochieangelpie@gmail.com> To: <searchingkin@yahoo.com>; <southern-chat@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, July 07, 2008 11:58 AM Subject: Re: [SOUTHERN-CHAT] Cats and chickens and dogs...uh huh! >I LOVE CATS! and I have four.... two males, two females.... and two > doggies. 3. Hello Mary Clyde, all my cats live out side but one... Her momma had her premature and the momma was addled and did`nt know she had it a baby.. I picked it up off the concrete porch and it was as cold as the concret but fighting... I wrapped it in a was cloth right away and stuck it in my bra the way the old indians use to save there premies, because that is a very warm place... I warmed milk and fed her with a little tube you give a dose of medicine with, untill I got a tiny pet baby bottle.. Well I did`nt keep her in my bra, I got a heating pad and towels in a box and made a very warm place... every one was telling me she would`nt live---well she was 2 years old June 20th... she was so cute after awhile she would hold her own baby bottle.... I had every one fooled -they thought Mozell had learned to give me a kiss when i asked her to.. what it was I had a cup of coffe setting on the table and I`d set at the table and feed her.. She learned the smell of coffee and would lick my lips when i took a drink of coffee... Every one watched me feed her and her kiss me but they never put it together that it was the coffee that she liked.. She is setting upon my computer right now...she has never been out side-she does`nt know she`s a cat.. she has only lived with me and completly house broken.. At first I had named her Moses but when I put my glasses on to give her a bath I saw she was a Mozella`s... I miss my little chuihuahua Otis-I had him for 13 years-he`s been gone since 2003-but he`s waiting on me with Jesus... Love you Mary!! I always warn anyone that pets him about his dr. jekyll / mr. hyde personality. E.Stink bites and he means it! Another cat, Kitty Krab Kakes does bite but I think she does it out of affection not meaness. My cats are all indoor critters and it takes a lot of work to keep this place from smellin' like the zoo. The snake and cat friendship is amazing.....UNLESS that snake gets too hungry and might want to make dinner of of kitty.... BURP!! Carol, you better keep a big stick handy - just in case. We have a resident Black Snake here.....it always makes me laugh at how afraid some people are of snakes.... for no good reason either. Well, i don't really want one swingin' from the ceiling fans but I don't want to kill them either. It's just too funny to see big, husky, grown men runnin' from a snake.....snicker snicker teehee....(ok, ok, so it is Very funnY). paulette in sw fla usa... why oh why don't I live on a farm???
