No offense is intended to anyone....... I just wanted to expound on what Carol wrote. Sometimes I just can't keep my fingers quiet. xoxoxoxo *paulette* in sw fla usa.... puttin' on my asbestos pants just in case of flames... Does this sound like the U.S? ~~~~~~> "Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corruptors: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward" (Isaiah 1:4) Are we doing this? ~~~~~~> "If My people, which are called by My Name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land" (2Chronicles 7:14). But,,,,,,,,, God has a limit to how long He will tolerate the arrogance of America's sin. "The LORD said, My Spirit shall not always strive with man" (Genesis 6:3). Would God spare the U.S. if the so-called Christians would repent? People have trusted people and are not trusting God and what does God say about that: "Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD" (Jeremiah 17:5). Without a clear-cut separation from sin and the world, Christians have lost their battle to call the nation to repentance. Our Leaders and Preachers have brought great reproach upon the Name of God in front of the Godless / unsaved / unrepentant. What we can do~~~~~~~> "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man" (Luke 21:36). In the end, the United States of America will not be saved. America will worship the Antichrist with the rest of the world. ~~~~~~>"And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the Book Of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world" (Revelation 13:8). The joy of every American Christian will be the joy of meeting the LORD in the air along with the brethren of all nations.
When sweet potatoes are first dug out of the ground they aren't too sweet...you gotta let them set a couple weeks or more ...at least that's what they do around here...You also have to cut the vines off before frost or it will travel down the vines and ruin the sweet potatoes...Kinda wicks the black ruin down into the ground....We used to raise a mort of those tasty tubers, and I well remember Mama baking her old black biscuit pans full in the wood stoves oven. hi carol and all..... as I was reading around the internet, I found the following. In my heart, I believe there are more "godless" people in the U.S. that there are true believers and most importantly - followers. Anyhoo.... I don't know if this group is still around but the American Atheists are alive and well. We may very well be out numbered...... *********************** The Godless Americans PAC attended a reelection campaign event for Rep. Pete Stark on October 30, 2007 at the Democratic National Committee Headquarters in Washington, DC. It was a very good event and the Godless Americans PAC was very happy to have the opportunity to support a fellow non-believer in Congress. This fulfills one of our primary objectives, to support candidates who are Atheists and support the separation of religion and government. ************************* paulette in sw fla usa....... I am truly sorry to hear the bad news of Lee's son. I feel for him. I lost my son age 52 back in 1995 from cancer. I think of him every day. We were close. No...but thanks, I did get this one.It just sounded it was an answer to something, or maybe, Carol...if you meant our stocking up on things was out of fear..that is incorrect...it has nothing to do with my faith, or beliefs...it is just a precautionary measure, , against the rising cost that I expect for the next two years at least. My income will probably be lower because now my rent is increasing in Dec.. I have physical conditions that prohibit my eating certain foods...(although I would live on Manna and water if it came t0 that in my salvation, spiritually)...but since we were given knowledge, and common sense to learn from our experiences, ...I see the need now, to plan ahead, as long as this system of things lasts. But I never forget the admonition, " Lift your heads high, when you see these things occuring, because your deliverance is near" Love you all...Stella
