    3. I wanted to get a note off, to let ya'll know I am still here, and will get back on my favorite subject soon, ...I had to admit my older brother in the hospital Friday Morning, after most of the night in the hospital emergency room.Breathing problems. I went to my services this morning...out to eat, now on way to the Hospital. Belle, I have thought of you this weekend, more than any other subject, and I sure wish things had been different for yu.. And, Bobby, I agree with you wholeheartily (is this a wiod, or two words?), about having knowledge of what the scriptures say...from Genesis through Revelation. And o put it in context. all the surrounding scriptures are important to read...to know why something was said like it is.Every one who is interested in the hereafter...or how we got here, for that matter, should try to look for answers to their questions in the Bible. You can't just take someone's word for it...no matter who it is!.That is one reason I mentioned the scriptures of "making sure of all things, although every man a liar" We should look it up,and ponder over it, or as Jesus taught...to reason on it..Also the scripture where we are told, "All scripture is inspired and beneficial for teaching" I will get back on as soon as I have time. Belle, you must have some specific questions you would like to get the Bible's answer on. ? Hope your Sunday is just about perfect... Talk later,Stella P.S.(Monday Am) this came back to me...I had left the e out of Rootsweb..so.....Iam sending a stale letter on..

This is a site where I find discussion on lots of different subjects including religion, click for the site and scroll down to religion and click on Christian board, its like a lot of boards, with trolls but most are kept at bay, lots of discussion, one needs to have a basic understanding of the Bible before accepting just any posters position. http://www.city-data.com/forum/ I also go to the states discussions for entertainment and information. 3. Hello, I am very interested in the subject My eyesight prevents me from reading much of anything these days. I can read this with my magnifier program but it dorsn't help with other reading matter. Over 30 years ago I worked with a lady who was so deep into her religious be liefs about the rrapture, the 144,000 people and her certainy that she would be one of them and talked about it constantly. She thought she was prepared for it to happen at any moment. I have little knowledge of the subject but would like to know more of what other folks think. I have no real opinion at this time other than I'm not very knowledgeable about the subject. 2. Hi Judy, I`m from Harlan Co., Ky. I don`t want to get us kicked off the list.. But I thought the Bible in churches "white as well as black churches" I`m sure you have read the Bible and know that it talks of Armygeddon... I will discuss this subject as long as "Our Leader" will allow it... To start read Ezekiel chapterd 38 & 39 and read deep and look up every country that you don`t understand who they are today... If we are told not to discuss-we can do it in private...I`ll probably learn something from you 2... 3. My favorite breakfast cafe up here in KY has fried bologna for breakfast, sure is good with eggs and biscuits and gravy, have to tell the waitress I want it well done to get it right. Have to go to another cafe to get good hashbrown taters or pancakes though. Seems different cooks was raised on different taste of food, one can't make gravy worth eatin and the other makes it just like my mother did. Not eatin out near as much since my friend retired, we cookin at home more since we ain't workin at a job anymore, sure tastes better and sure better for us, lots of veggies and fruits, of course with my biscuits. 2. Happy October birthday ! Hubby is from KY and his birthday is on the 17th also..but will only be 71....His Mother was born up there in the mountains and remembered seeing the Hatfields...I believe it was...ride by their house at night...They were so fearsome they would only go out at night to keep folks from taking a potshot at them I reckon. She was born in 1904, I believe it was...So the feud had simmered down a little by then...Jeannie T ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ On Thu, 9 Oct 2008 18:22:53 -0500 "Bobby Hatfield" <bobhat2@gmail.com> writes: > Yeah, I got one of them things coming on the 17th, will be 72, > feeling every > one of them last few days ____________________________________________________________ Are you safe? 2. Yes, he plays that song...Did you see it on the computer ? Son made a little video or something and put it out back around the time hubby ...Bear Travis, made a cassette tape to sell...Sold out two printings, but he hasn't made any more tapes....The first record he made years ago sold recently on e bay for about $250.00, son said...And the song he recorded,,,and wrote...Tinkerbell, is on some cd or something in a couple foreign countries...patent expired so they can steal them...and he has an agent , apparently, with no effort from himself....No royalties yet...*grin* He's included in pioneer rock and rollers, rockabilly or something....When son got in touch with the companies they said they'd tried to contact him before using his music...and I don't doubt they couldn't find him as much as we've moved.....He's a good entertainer...Does comedy, sings, and plays thumb style lead guitar like Merle Travis, who's a double cousin , by the way....His practising has never bothered me....and he still plays really well. I don't know if he'll ever do any more recording or not....Jeannie T ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~ On Thu, 9 Oct 2008 15:35:31 -0400 "Smoochie Newton" <smoochieangelpie@gmail.com> writes: > JeanneT...... is that a song that was played by your hubby? > > : ) > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > SOUTHERN-CHAT-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' > without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message > > ____________________________________________________________ Click here to save cash and find low rates on auto loans. http://thirdpartyoffers.juno.com/TGL2141/fc/Ioyw6i3ndyH6STNbOubuv2oNC83FOhlR2L1bMqbR1EjpOxdhx0hPbe/

    3. Hi Judy...... I still "color" too. I have chalks and pencils that I love to play with. It's like therapy. I knew an elderly woman that took her grandkids' drawings, transferred them to cloth, and made the most beautiful quilt. The pictures were basically the sort with stick people and animals.....saying "love mom" or "love grammpa". She embroidered each figure and word from individual pictures onto a fat square and came out with a keepsake. I wish I had the patience to do that.....even just one square!! paulette in sw fla usa....... I love a good color book.... ssssssh,,,,, don't tell anybody xoxoxoxoxo On Fri, Oct 10, 2008 at 2:35 PM, Judy Arnold <judith@omuonline.net> wrote: > My kids and grand-kids like making cards. Holey moley - balognie was a staple of life. And hamburger.... not ground round, or ground chuck , or ground sirloin, but plain old hamburger. The local grocery store where I sometimes shop is across the street from a very well-to-do gated waterfront community...... go in there and ask for balognie people will step back like you've asked for a poop pie!!! > > paulette in sw fla usa > xoxoxoxo > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to SOUTHERN-CHAT-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message > > >

    3. Happy Birthday, Lee. Sure are a lot of us October folks on the list. Have a good day. You are welcome to all the cold weather comin up. I've had my share over the years in Ohio, Northern California. I plan to stay right here for the rest of my days. There are some cold days due but nothing like you and others on the list will have. We have gas heat and a gas log fireplace. It doesn't give out much heat but is a comforting glow to make the living/dining area cosy. I have lived with wood and coal stoves and wood burning fireplaces. They all have their place. I prefer the wood burning stoves and fireplaces but they don't allow them here anymore. Our last house had the fireplace but we could only have the gas log one here. Have a nice Birthday. I was86 on October 4th.
