Let us hear from you. I have worn the heart monitor several times for 24 hours. But in the hospital, for eight days, it was monitored. Goodluck to you. Hope you have a good doctor. My irregularity is s bad all the time...it scared the policeman..(paramedic) at my wreck when he felt my pulse...he said you have to go to hospital" But I didn't go. I feel my flittering a lot...I took ToprolXL for this...now on Bystolic. But I think I need a doctor. Mine said your body can go 'haywire ' like this...and it is the electrical system, part of the brain. He feels stress is what is causing mine. I just go to bed..lay still and B/P will come down. It is a terrible feeling when heart rate is 80 and next second it is 38. Hope they find your trouble. He said mine was different from what a pacemaker does. My EKG os always 'abnormal" I have so much else...I haven't even been back to him since I got out of hospital in August. I try to change doctors but they are in a group and you can't switch. Stella
A Holter monitor is something you wear that's plastered onto your body with several things that have a 'runner' going to the Holter monitor...This is about the 4 th or 5 th one I've worn....Gonna see if I can stay as is or go to a pacemaker..or a deal where they go into your thigh then burn out whatever is making you have this heart trouble...I told him to let it go for now...Heck, as old as I am I may not ever have to have one...My heart was irregular on the EKG , irregular in the office, but when I sneezed later I imagine it straightened out...I sneeze about 6 times, and sometimes I feel like my heart is twisting inside...bet that's when it went straight...Will see tomorrow afternoon....Jeannie T ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On Thu, 7 Jan 2010 09:48:31 -0500 "MaryClyde" <[email protected]> writes: > Jeannie T.... Your letter reminds me of my canning and preserving days, and of the hundreds of quarts of food my sweet Mama put up every summer to feed her growing brood of children and her hard working handsome blue eyed man.... My Ma had a little grove of fig bushes beneath her cherry tree out back....I have one I brought from Georgia almost 25 years ago....It died back and stayed dormant about 10 years ago and one summer there it was again....Jeannie T ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On Wed, 6 Jan 2010 07:08:41 -0600 [email protected] (busbys martins) writes: My big house that I was telling you about having, down 69 South..had three big trees. Lunda, being in the business I was in, so long, I am a nut about wood. I heard the commercial where someone asks him,,,'what knd of top on it" and he says 'it is made of real wood no presswood etc" but he doesn't say Oak, Walnut, Maple, Mahogany...just "wood" So I think it has a factory finish, on 'hardwood' like all this new funiture you see...it may have 'Oak' finish, or amahogany finish but it's like these new wooden TVtrays, small tables you see. I don't like prefinished hardwoods. I lke real woods. I just thought it might be cozy to watch. But if you see it, and compare it to the size of the person that is in picture with it...I don't think it is muc more than knee high. I used to see 'Quaker" furniture...boy, it is well built, like the rocking chairs. Stella

Stella, Chilton County peaches bring back childhood memories. When I was young, we lived in Elmore County and in the summer when we visited my grandparents in north Al, my parents always stopped at a roadside stand to buy Chilton Co peaches to take with us. Jen, yes, figs grow here. We have a fig tree in our yard, sometimes we have figs, sometimes not. Because I've always worked, never had time to do more that pick a few off the tree, wash and eat. But this years, if we have any, I'd like to use them in some way. Stella, you can have the majority of them, if we have any. Kay In a message dated 01/06/10 01:13:16 Central Standard Time, [email protected] writes: Stella, Just about ready to turn in for the night. Well, I'll probably read a bit & then head towards bed. Was curious about your homemade figs. Can you grow those where you are? I have ordered some from CA in the past & I also have gotten them here in AZ. The ones from CA were the best though. Yes, I believe that skittish is a word. If not, then it sounds just fine to me. I know what it's like after you are in a car accident. I got broadsided by a very elderly woman when I was heading home for Thanksgiving one year. This woman was crossing a main road..going from one grocery store parking lot & into another. There was no way I could avoid her. She hit me so hard that she pushed me across a curb over a tree & into another parking lot. I was so disgusted. I had gotten off work early so I could cook dinner. Plus, just the week before I had paid off my Olds. I had a seat belt & was fine..but this little old lady & I do mean old, opened up my car door & got into the car with me. I was mad more than anything else & all she wanted to do was chat. The totaled out my car completely. I had to have the police take me home. She drove away with her Chevy Station Wagon. After that accident, I kept going over the sounds which I heard when she hit me. That's about all I could think of for a long time after that. So I guess you could say that I was a bit skittish over that accident. As long as you know this...and as long as you don't care to take chances on the ice...then the best thing for you to do is to stay put!! Hopefully, some of your wonderful children will come by & you can ask them to get things from the store if you need them. ~J in AZ ----- Original Message ----- From: "busbys martins" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, January 05, 2010 10:51 PM Subject: Re: [SOUTHERN-CHAT] Cold Weather, and Snow > OOoohhh, I love pork roast. Hi Stella, you can come stay with me if your power goes off, just hope ours doesn't to out again. I've looked at the heater advertisements you mentioned, but I think it looks to be slightly larger than you mentioned. Wouldn't mind having one of those just for looks if nothing else. Mike bought a small heater for the workshop but it never really warms the room, just takes off the chill enough that he can stand to work for a short time. If the heatsurge really works, it would be better than what he bought. Kay In a message dated 01/06/10 00:52:08 Central Standard Time, [email protected] writes: OOoohhh, I love pork roast. OOoohhh, I love pork roast. Take care, out in this weather. I am staying home all I can. I think that boy hitting my car has me a little skittish. (Is that a word?) I fell, back in 2003, and I am afraid of that too, in ice and snow. Yep, you are supposed to get it all up in TN...probably by Wednesday night, and it's coming all the way down into Alabama. I am gonna make a big pan of biscuits tomorrow and put in Zip-lock when they cool. I like to spray butter on a split biscuit and lay it in my small Geo. Forman grill, then put my homemade figs on it, with my coffee, sure hope the power doesn't go off here. I would have to leave. That's what happens when you give up everything you own to move to an apartment. I don't expect much snow..and it doesn't stay long but we are in single digit number on Thursday night. We were talking about fireplaces what do ya'll think of that little heater the show on TV that looks like a flickering fireplace called HeatSurge...(claim to be made by Amish ) I can't ever tell the measurements but it looks small enough to sit on a table!! Stay safe and warm...let us hear from you. Stella
Up here on the ridge south of Clarksville TN we are cussin' and discussin' the continuing cold weather....Supposed to get snow on Thu....1 to 6 inches, but you know how those things go. I have to go out tomorrow so will buy any necessities I don't already have.....Made a big pork roast today, so day after tomorrow I will make hash with chopped potatoes, onions and sage...Heartburn city, but then we haven't had it in years...I rarely buy pork roast....occasionally pork chops, tenderloin or boneless pork loin...Jeannie T ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On Mon, 4 Jan 2010 15:13:50 -0600 [email protected] (busbys martins) writes: I wish everyone would check in on list with whats happenin to them.
