    3. Seems Like "maybe" this week spring may finally Hit here in The mountains Of western NC. I Wouldn't bet On It though! Bought a flat of various Ground Cover (on sale at store) to plant Over little "pet cemetery". Miss these Little Critters... two Doggies And One cat. Still have three Doggies And two kitties. Found some plants that Will Do Well In mostly shade. Also bought several pks of glads at dollar Tree. the Ones I plants from that Store Two years Ago Are Now looking really good. Have Several in Bloom. Have to take Down some Of The Smaller "twig" trees. That Will Be a big Job for Us. Just a Lot Of Outside hard Work to be done. This Is when I sure Would Like To be about 30 years younger And full Of pep! Mostly These Days I Just Putter ... putt putt putt putttttttttttt.... time to Heat up My java

    3. I Miss Publix! Closest One is in Flowery Branch, Georgia. One Is being built In Waynesville, NC, about 40 miles Away. Ingles Is the Counterpart here. Stinko! What I Found out Is that Publix is wholly employee owned. What a difference that Makes. The Sav-Mor Is owned by Ingles. I Was hoping For An Aldis..but noooooooo. Ingles has cornered the Market. Bad thing here.... the "good Ole boy" town Council. Michaels and Chick/a/fil were all set to come here but that Was Squashed just because. We could Have had a Publix instead Of The Ingles but the Ingles family is Well rooted In NC so no competition. wah Wah and Wah!! hahahaa... oh Well... the wal-mart here Is the Smallest in The U.S. It is an experiment! Not kidding. It's Awful. No chance Of getting a bigger and Better One Either. Oh well... The good outweighs the bad I guess.... Looks Like a sunny day ahead.... finally!! 1. [SOUTHERN-CHAT] Ah, the power....
    2. Jeannie Travis
    3. We very rarely have a problem with power failure...We live on a T street with houses up and down it, so we get fast service on repairs....Luckily our place is so grown up with flowering bushes and trees we can't even see the street without hunting out a different window sometimes..GREAT! We got too old to move to the country's isolation so we allowed the trees God had the bird's plant to grow and TA DA! We're 'in the country!" Dogwoods and Red buds out front, plus Amber honeysuckle bushes. hedges, a giant Flowering Quince, For sythia, weeping Mulberry, etc, etc...Out back there are 5 or 6 stray dogwoods, huge Kerria{Yellow rose of Texas} swaths, Weigelia , Bridal wreath, my wildflower garden., Swamp daisy, fruit trees, etc....It's easy, just live somewhere over 30 years and let Nature take her course !I talked Paw into planting ivy to cover the exposed tree roots from the huge maple out front and now it has just about covered the front yard...He goes over it with the weed eater once or twice a year instead of mowing every week or two...Griped about it for awhile, as it was not the 'proper' way to do things..Whistles while he mows the artistically curved path to the mailbox now... Rainy season here, also..April showers, you know..Everything is blooming now..YOU CAN STOP THE RAIN FOR AWHILE! ..,.Jeannie T
