I've been reviewing some of my material and have some pictures of gravestones in the old Motley Cemetery. I believe it is now the Carlton Allen Farm. In looking at them, I have two that I cannot identify. Maybe some of you can help. There are seven tombstones, some appear to be newer and are standing, while others are on the ground. The three newer ones are: Thomas R Mottley (spelling has changed to two t's) 1/31/1871 - 11/21/1929 G. W. Mottley 10/12/1848 - 8/6/1927 (My records show 9/4/1927) Serrilda Claypool Mottley 6/11/1857 - 5/13/1929 The older ones are: Sarah B. (Goodnight) Motley 2/13/1822 - 5/21/1882 J. A. Motley (John A.) 1/26/1818 - 5/11/1888 Mary E, wife of J. L. Evans 3/21/1845 - 8/30/1881 Now here are the two that I cannot connect........... Carl Motley 11/25/1880 - 11/27/1880 and Evert, son of (looks like, P & L M) Martin 11/29/1894 - 6/3/1896 Would anyone know who the last two are? And, I would like to connect up with whoever put up the three newer stones. They are quite large. I would also like to see about having the area fenced in as the cattle get in there and there is large debris from trees in the pictures. The pictures were taken several years ago, so things may have changed and I was told Mr. Allen wouldn't mind. Thanks for any help that you might have! Bobbie Rennie
