I was a chained tiger all yesterday afternoon and all of today. I did something stupid to the computer, but was following instructions from a software manufucturer ... they were wrong and my system forgot it had a C and D drive. Thus, I could not boot the system or anything. An angel came by this evening that I'd never met but was well recommended (my regular fixer-upper computer guy wasn't available.) I will never, ever, ever mess with the system again!!! I would like to thank Reggie who posted for me this morning that I was down, Bill Utterback who tried to "talk" me thru this problem long distance through my daughter in another town (via emails back and forth and then her phone calls to me), and Sherri who was ready to try to help over the phone. I appreciate all of you and wish I had 1/2 your expertise and helpfulness! I'll try to catch up tomorrow with the post from today and tomorrow. Oh - one last thing. I had my eye appt in between times too. My doc said that there is an impressive improvement in my eye from my last appt 3 weeks ago - and my vision is testing 20/25 in that eye. I still am blurred and don't have crisp vision in the short to medium range field - ok on distance. I go back next Tuesday and if the rest of the corneal swelling is down, will get a new glass prescription. He is allowing me to hold off on the other surgery until after my daughter's wedding the end of July and/or until I get gutsy enough to go thru this again!
