Ordered that John ESTES, Samuel WHITESIDES, John WREN and Reubin BALLARD view for a convenient way for road from Thompson BRIGGS to the Logan Co line heading to the Logan Co courthouse. Settling with the Sheriff for the county levy for 1799 to be handled next session. Sheriff returned a list of delinquents and said the 1797 and 1798 lists can't be found. Mark REAVIS & Daniel MUNROE Sr recommeded as proper persons to fill the position of Justice of the Peace. Howel DAWDY and Nathaniel DUGLAS recommended for same. Thompson BRIGGS nd John WREN recommended as same. Davis SMITH and Dennis BURHAN same. John WILLIAMS who lives on the Sulphur Fork of Drakes Creek and Isaac KING, same. Sterling CLACK exempt from acting as Constable in the future. Vincent ANDERSON made recommendation of Sterling CLACK as his Deputy, approved. Gladin GORIN, Thompson BRIGGS and Henry GRIDER appointed Commissioners to let to the lowest bidder the repairing of the jail instead of the commisisoners who had been previously appointed.
