    3. At the 6 Jan 1801 meeting, Gladin GORIN, John MARSHALL, John ROUNTREE and William MELTON were present. Ordered that John SHANNON is entitled to remove 95 acres of land out of 200 which was taken by a prior claim. Mark REAVIS, John WREN and Howel DAWDY produced a commission from the Governor appointing them Justices of the Peace, sworn in. The appraisal of the estate of Benjamin STUART was produced and recorded. John NELSON, William GARDNER, Aron GAGE, Lawrence SMITH and John SMITH appointed as Commisisoners to divide the slaves and personal estate of STUART among the widow and legatees. Second appraisal of estate of Frederic STUMP returned. Commissioners of the Tax appointed as follows: Samuel GOODE, Gladin GORIN and James WREN entered into bond; - Goode to take the north side of Barren River; GORIN the south side and west side of Drakes Creek and WREN the east side of the creek. Phenis COX, security to Polly STUMP (administratrix of Frederic) ordered that COX be exempt from being the security in the future. Appraisal of estate of Robert KING decd received and recorded. Ordered that George FRAYZER (sic), John COX and Burwell JACKSON be paid for appraising estate of STUMP. Ordered that David STUART be paid $3.00 for summoning a jury to hold an inquest over the body of STUMP. Joseph SNODGRASS made motion through his attorney he he be appt Administrator of the estate of James LOWRY deceased; went bond with Henry GORIN - Samuel COX, George HICKERS or Thomas FORD and Thomas FLETCHER his security. Road report from Big Beaver Dam to Squire WALLACE's old place, mentions Fourt Blunt. /s/ John PHELPS, William ISAACS. Road established. Jacob GRUBB appt Constable of Warren Co; surety was Mitchell ONEAL. Clement MOBERLY produced a certificate of his having killed 6 month old wolf is paid 8 shillings. Phenis COX gave bohnd for the safe keeping of the property of STUMP. James DOUGAN and John MARSHALL recommended by the Governor to fill the office of High Sheriff. Adjourned.
