She was Miss Evelyn KEMPFER of Alexandria VA where they were married 27 March at Christ Church. He just returned from Japan where he commanded the USS Vigilance, served 6 years. He is a nephew of Mr WOOD. Mr and Mrs Levi DOUGLAS of Greensburg visited Mr and Mrs J H WALDEN and other relatives at Mt Gilead and T'ville. Mrs. Bug PHILPOT is recoering from serious illness. Otha SMITH and family, formerly of Marrowbone, have moved to the C H DICKERSON property in Newtown vacated by Charlie WITCHER. Pvt Nuland MOORE, son of Mr and Mrs S J MOORE is hone on a dely-en-routh furlough on his way to the state of Washington to the East Coast. He will be stationed in Europe.
