Mills, 62, of Shepherdsville died Feb. 6, 2006, at Norton Audubon Hospital. The Warren County native was a member of Okolona Church of Christ, a charter member and past president of North Bullitt County Lions Club and a retired school principal for the Bullitt County Board of Education. He was a son of the late Charles T. Mills and Versye Jones Mills. He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Mills Wofford. Funeral is at 11 a.m. Thursday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, with burial in Brookland Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Ruckel Mills; a daughter, Joanna Burton and her husband, Michael; a sister, Dora Mills Edison and her husband, Franklin; grandchildren, Damian, Dana and Jake Burton; a brother-in-law, Roger Ruckel; three nephews, Daniel and Ryan Ruckel and Kyle Wofford; and several friends.
