I wish you guys would do me a favor. Roy on the list reminded me of a site that I have used several times and it is so appropriate right now. Let's Say Thanks is sponsored by Xerox. If you click on their site, you can thank a soldier who is currently serving his or her country. There is a choice of several cards, designed by children; the messages are already there or you can create your own message. By picking a card and filling in your name, Xerox will send a card to one of our service people. No matter what side we may be on in matters of war, these are our kids fighting or training, and they're away from home this Thanksgiving. There is no harvesting of email addresses, no lists you get stuck on, no fee. Just the time it takes to say thank you to a lonely young person who might be our son, our daughter, our grandchild, our neighbor ... or a total stranger. No obligation, just my wish that you will consider doing this. If even half of us on these two lists would send a free card, there were would be 500 cards delivered in time to those so far away.
