    1. [SCKY] MT PISGAH BAPTIST CHURCH 1900-1962

    3. For your information - I have just published Volume 2 of the minutes of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church which was also known early as the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church of Christ; later as just Mt. Pisgah Baptist. This church is located six miles northeast of Glasgow in the Slick Rock area. This was an interesting time frame for the church (1900-1962) as, up until the 1950's, flowery obituaries were included for members dying, called Resolutions of Respects. It normally gave the birth and death dates of the member and many kind comments about them. I have annotated this book with burial locations or obituaries on all but a few which I couldn't locate. Also, up until past the 1900 census some years, I attempted to identify the new members or deaths on the census records. If you would like to see the index of the book, please send me an email privately. There were many families there that are of interest to you I'm sure including: Abner, Arnold, Atnip, Billingsley, Bowles (many), Bray, Brown, Bryan, Bunch (lots), Davis, Deweese, Eubank, Faulkner, Fergkuson, Ferrell, Fields, Gooden (lots), Johnson, Lawson, Morton, Moss, Peers, Perkins (lots), Pickett, Reece, Shephard, Stephens, Taylor, Veluzat (lots), Wells, Willoughby, Worthington and many, many more. The index is in Word format and is 11 pages long.
