Good morning from a very travel weary but happy list mom. I've put on a few miles since my Wednesday posts - one of my daughters and I traveled up to central IL for a 3 day visit to the land of my birth, Lincoln, Logan Co IL. Our purpose was not only to see my family there but to attend a family reunion on my daughter's heritage in Bloomington IL - the Sweeney family reunion. 86 years old, this was the first time we've been able to attend and it was a marvelous affair and my daughter was able to meet many of her family on the Gorin side including two 2nd cousins I hadn't seen since the 1970's. Good food, absolutely perfect weather, Irish dancers, lots of photo taking ... it was a ball. A visit to two cemeteries followed where we took a lot of pictures of the Sweeney graves next. Then on the way back home we stopped in Chestnut IL where my late Dad was born and raised and Elkhart IL where my Mom grew up. The trip was 637 miles each way and we reached south central KY at about 8:30 last night. So I am very far behind on reading my email! My other and newly married daughter and her hubby made it back from Halifax Nova Scotia just before we left - so after a marriage, a long drive, a family reunion .... I am ready for some R&R here in my own home! Charlie has posted this week's puzzler already - which I got to him very late last night - give it a try by clicking on the URL in my signature line called gensoup. See you tomorrow - a little more rested!
