Sandi: LEECH: Lilly, 45, d/o James & Celia, typhoid, 29 Nov 1852. These names written poorly could also be LOCK/LUCK??? I have Lillie Ann Leech, b. August 04, 1839, as the daughter of Joseph and Celia (Turpin) Leech. This is from a family bible, it seems, that went with Joseph and Celia (my 3Ggrandparents) to Iowa. Lilly is in their household, age 10, in the 1850 census. So it's actually her age and her father (Jas vs. Jos?) where the poor writing is causing transcription errors. Sarah Light (who should be in next week's post) is almost certainly Joseph Leech's sister.
