Owns the following: Three horse beasts, one not paid for totally yet - $70.17 17 head of hogs $34.00 Household & Kitchen furniture $23.00 200 acres headright lad (not paid for), not improved, very poor land $50.00 Total: $179.00 No one owes him any money; he hasn't disposed of any property to qualify. Enlisted in the Rev War as a private soldier in Capt. Matthew ARBUCKLE's Company, 12th Virginia Regiment or Contentinental establishment. Has no further evidence of enlistment and discharge. Is 63 years old, lives with family which is composed of: Wife, age 60 next month Orphan boy named William McGINNIS about 14 years old Occupation: Farming, however age and infirmity prohibits doing much work. Have great fatigue, afflicted with a violent rupture that disqualifies him and renders him unable to undergo much labor. Signed and witnessed 16 Oct 1820, Testee: W Logan Peter PRIEST, Order Book 4, p. 125. List of his property excluding his wearing apparel and necessary bedding. 100 acres of 3rd rate land $200.00 Farming utensils $ 2.00 Does not own any horses, cows, sheep or cattle, or household furniture, no debts due him. Enlisted 11 Feb 1780 in Capt Robert GEORGE's Company of Artillery in George Rogers CLARK's VA Regiment in the Continental establishment. Served during the war and was honorably discharged 15 Feb 1784; discharge obtained from Capt GEORGE or CLARK -- has lost his discharge. Was in the Battle of Piclque??? Plains, fought with the Indians by CLARK who commanded the American forces then. Was born in the Uknited States, has always been a citizen. Was already a resident of Barren Co on 18 Mar 1818, still reside here. Needs assistance. Family consists of: Wife - aged 48 or 49 Three daughters; one about 23, one about 20 and one about 13. He is age 63 with occupation being farming. But due to the infirmities of sciatic and rheumatic pains which was on him before he left the service and have continued since including hips, back and shoulders - chiefly in the neck and shoulders, unable to do much labor.
