TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME - GREETING: KNOW YE, That by virtue and in consideration of a certificate No. 1576 granted by the Commissioners in 1798 agreeably, to an act of assembly, for encouraging and granting relief to settlers _____ there is granted by the said commonwealth unto Elizabeth Wright, a certain tract or Parcel of LAND containing Two hundred acres by survey being date the 27th day of August 1799 lying, and being in the County of Barren on the South fork of Bever (sic) creek and bounded as followeth Towit: Beginning on a buckeye and beech James Franklins corner on Bells Military line thence with Bells line North 33 East 138 poles to the corner, poplar and maple thence West 75 poles to a beech then with a line supposed to be Walkers North 19 East 200 poles to a sugartree and poplar in said line thence North 62 West 172 Poles to a beech and dogwood thence South 6 East 240 poles binding on Jacob Wrights line 135 poles to his corner with Jajmes Franklin a white walnut beech and gum thence South 27 East 133 poles with James Franklins line to the Beginning. With its apurtances: TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said Tract or Parcel of LAND, with its appurtances, to the said Elizabeth Wright and her heirs forever. In Witness Whereof, the said Charles Scott, Esq. governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, hath hereunto set his hand, and caused the Seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Frankfort on the Sixth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Nine and of the Commonwealth the Seventeenth.
