I have recently found on the Internet some information that I am trying to check out. I was wondering if anyone can help? Long story short: I found listed a James Martin that died in Barren County on Sept. 13, 1848. I've checked SCKY archives and have found a handful of Martin's listed in Will Book 3 (which would include 1848) but no James. I've e-mailed the person who posted the info. but have not heard back yet. They have listed three children for this James: John D. born 1803, Mary Ann born 1824 and Merideth born 1831. There's a large gap in years... I think my connection is the John D. born 1803, although I've never seen him with the middle letter D. only J. The information goes on to list John's children's name which is almost the exact info. that I have. With having an exact date of death for James, I'm wondering if perhaps, I should be looking somewhere else other than the Will books. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Chrystal
