A look at the members recently posted as members of Blue Springs Baptist Church. G. R. WOOD appears on the 1860 Barren Co in Dist 1, house 382-382; son of J & Margaret WOOD. He was then 9 yrs old. This appears to make him very young to have joined (would have been 15 at joining the church, but is the only G R Wood found. Clement CRAIG is found on the 1860 Metcalfe Co census, house 291-282. At that time he was 65 yrs old and was residing with George O Craig and wife Martha (29 and 21 respectively). Sarah E BARNETT is found on the 1870 Metcalfe Co census, house 101-292; she the wife of Lowery L Barnett, age 36. She was shown then as 33 yrs old; their children were Henry G, 14; George W, 12; Shelby P, 10; John M, 8; Nancy E, 4; Harriet U, 2. Frances LONDON is found on the 1870 Metcalfe Co Census that might be the individual cited; living in Lafayette, house 1-1. Her husband was William H, 32 who owned a retail dry goods store. She was 30 at that time and they had James C, 7; Thomas STEWART (so shown), 3; Eugene S, 3; Clarence E, 1 and some Black help. J F MORTON is shown on the 1870 Barren Co census in the Hiseville precinct, house 238-229. He was then 32, farmer, born TN. His wife was Mary, 30 and they had Derastas, 9; Edward, 5; Marshall, 2; Haiden M 1. E F B HATCHETT is found on the 1870 Barren Co census, Hiseville, house 110-105. He was 35, farmer, born KY; his wife Gertrude was 28. They had Clarence, 4, William Z, 2. H C SLINKER is found on the 1870 Metcalfe census, house 326-316; shown as Henry C. Slinker. He was 35, a blacksmith born KY. His wife Melinda was 48 and they had one child, William. There was also a Sary J. Slinker residing with them. Peter and Louisa CLINE are found on the 1870 Metcalfe census, house 340-328. He is 38, a farmer, born TN; she is 37, born KY. Thy had Marion H, (male), Arrena J, Emily J, John Floid, and Cyrus. James W SLINKER is found on the 1870 Metcalfe census, house 357-345; age 24, farmer, born KY. His wife was Mary E, 23 and they had a daughter Naomi G, 4. David M GALLOWAY is on the 1870 Metcalfe Co census, house 350-338. He was 35, farmer, born KY. His wife was Melvina W, 25.
