I would love some help if anyone can help. My 3rd great grandmother was Susan Turner. Susan married W. Jonas Bryant b. March 3, 1837, TN. First I would like to know when they were married - it should be in the early 1860s and I believe it will be in Monroe County, Kentucky. Susan and Jonas had only 2 children as far as I know. One was Sarah Elizabeth Bryant and the other was Lucy Bryant. Susan is said to have died in childbirth in 1868 so I have presumed this was during the birth of Lucy since Sarah Elizabeth was born September 24, 1865. Second, I would like to know who are the parents of Susan and Jonas. I know that Jonas had a sister named Marilda. I think he also had siblings: David, Lucy, R.G., Sivey, Sanford R., Dorothy G., Andrew J., Pomeroy, and Wilmoth H. I would love to have sources for this information, but I have not been able to find any so far. I know nothing about Susan. I found one family in the 1850 Census Monroe County Census with a Susan listed, but there are several names with the initial S. There are no Susans listed in the 1860 Monroe County, Kentucky Census. Today, in the 1880 census, I found the following which is interesting because it repeats all the family names I know: Sarah E., Susan, and Lucy. Perhaps Robert is Susan Turner’s brother. He would be about the right age to be her brother, but I think it would mean that F.N. I am not sure what happened to the 4 year old Susan above unless she is the 16 year old S. F. Turner listed with William and Francis Turner. KY 000 I am also almost certain that the family in the 1880 Census is the same as the family above in the 1860 census because the youngest child above is R. E. Turner and above in the 1860 Census we have Roda E. Turner close to the same age. Notice the age of the adults in the 1880 Census correspond to the ages above in the 1850 census. Can anyone help with either of these families? Does anyone have sources available to them at home that they might be willing to do lookups? I could be so easily pursuing the wrong families. there sure are a lot of Turners in Monroe County, Kentucky. Thanks. Ann
