Thanks, Sandi, for your update on the full name for Judge Wakefield. So the plot thickens. While it is disappointing that Judge Allen M. Wakefield doesn't appear on any other records of the era, I can't say that missing people are unusual. I lost my whole family, and 12 others, in 1930 when the censustaker misinterpreted the wrong railroad crossing for the enumeration district boundary. Makes for a good family story now. However, my interest in the Wakefields of the SCKY area is still high. Maybe there's two families that I have to look at instead of one -- I revised my subject line. So I still appeal to anyone for information about what may have happened to the families of Allen M. Wakefield, William Wakefield, or any other Wakefield in the early 1800's SCKY. Facts or family stories welcome. Thanx...Jim Hale
