I have been trying to track down my gg-great-grandmother. Her name was Sarah Elizabeth Peters Turner. She went by Elizabeth, Lizzie and E.P. She was born Aug. 1841, Monroe Co. Ky. I’m wondering if anyone can help me with the following Elizabeth’s? I haven’t seen actual census info., only what’s online at Monroe Co. site. I haven’t seen 1870 census info. 1850 Monroe Co. There are three Elizabeth’s I’m interested in. (1) 9 year old Elizabeth in the household of Jefferson and Mary Turner. (2) 11 year old Elizabeth in the household of Elizabeth Kirkpatrick (I’ve done a little research on this line and found her maiden name to be Gee.) (3) 10 year old Elizabeth in the household of Robert J. and Elizabeth Turner. 1860 (1)The closest to the Jefferson Turner family I can find is J.J. Turner with a 17 year old Elizabeth in the household. (2) 20 year old Elizabeth in Elizabeth Kirkpatrick’s household. (3) 20 year-old Elizabeth in Robert Turner’s household. The earliest known child of Elizabeth’s was born Jan. 1863. She married John Akin (Fitz) Gerald, unknown marriage date. I have a copy of Elizabeth’s death certificate and parents are listed as James M.O. Turner and Elizabeth Webb. I have gotten nowhere trying to find these parents. So I’m trying other names just in case the death cert. is wrong. In 1850, there are three James Turners: 30 year old James Turner, no female children in household. (but there is a 6 year gap between two male children). A 28 year old James Turner one male child in household and a 31 year old James M. with a 6 month old Sarah. In 1860 there are two 41 year old James Turner’s with no matching females. I know this quey is long, but I must add that the names of Elizabeth Turner Fitzgerald’s first three known children are as follows: James T. (Turner?), Robert Jennings and John Gee Gerald.
