I just finished Circuit Court recods #10; attempting to get all of Gladys Benedict Wilson's old records transcribed! There are 26 cases arranged chronologically from 1813 through 1849. These cases include charges of stealing, buying land before of legal age, lunacy and many land and slave disputes in re settling estates - dividing the land and slaves among the heirs. They are interesting in many ways including naming of the heirs, who they married, where they moved - and that these records are no longer available locally.
