I don't know if this will be a help to any of you or not - but just in case. As you know, for the past 10 years, I have been posting obituaries of Barren Countians taken from the local newspapers. Those of you on the KYBARREN list have been getting the past year or so as they are cross-posted from the Barren Co board. I've been able to get about 2500 obits posted ranging from the 1890's to current times and am still posting. Some have graciously been contributed by others. The obituaries are for individuals found in the Barren Co Cemetery book published by our historical society. I'm going thru the cemetery book and making a list of the obituaries I've posted - the names and the cemetery in which they are buried. If they were not listed in the cemetery book, they do not appear on my list but could be found on the Barren Co board. So, as I get these typed up, I am going to post them to the list in a one-time effort and you can easily see if one of your family's obituary is on line. If you find one, click on the URL in my signature line called SCKY links, then click on the Barren Co board link. You can then do a search for that name (being sure to just search on the Barren Co board, not all of rootsweb and the abstract of the obituary will be there with all family information, burial information etc. that was shown.
