We have had a rather severe ice storm in the Fort Worth/Dallas area. The ice is gone, but the temperatures have been at or below freezing since Friday or Saturday. The storm has hit south and southeast Texas with a real vengeance, with major highways virtually shut down in Austin and San Antonio and freezing weather forecast for Houston within the next few hours. Light snow flurries are forecast for DFW, but no accumulations are predicted. The ice was and still is pretty treacherous in the areas north of the DFW are, and especially and you cross the border into Oklahoma. We are grateful it was no worse here--just trying to stay warm. Most of the electricity has been restored in this area, but that is not so to the north of us. I'm east of Mina, about 2 hours or so east. The ice wasn't too bad here but yep, they're predicting some snow and sleet for tonight or tomorrow morning. And it's so cold!! Other than that, life is great. :) Denise in Gladewater Texas On 1/16/07, minamb@juno.com <minamb@juno.com> wrote: > > We have had a rather severe ice storm in the Fort Worth/Dallas area.
