    3. Good morning! After having a day with frozen pipes in the house, it appears we are bracing for another storm on Thursday - nothing in comparison to what many on our list are going through! Just a few notes. Welcome always to the new subscribers who join us along the way. I hope we can be of help to you in your researching. If you have a query, please feel free to post it by sending an email to either SOUTH-CENTRAL-KENTUCKY@rootsweb.com or KYBARREN@rootsweb.com and be sure to put the name(s) of the individuals you are seeking - and hopefully the county - in the subject line. Upcoming posts to my KYRESEARCH list include: This Thursday: The First Constitution (including financial woes, disputes and the slavery issue). Next Thursday: Get Off the Road Now! (The Black Mariah) Next Thursday: Two Special Schools in Kentucky Next Thursday: Mustering Up The Courage Next Thursday: What's Ailin' You Mama? Next Thursday: Voices In The Cemetery! I have just finished a humongous book as a promise to the late Gladys Benedict Wilson of Glasgow; many of whom helped you in the past pre-email days! Gladys gave me a huge notebook about 10 years ago with perhaps 20 yrs of research on the STOCKTON family, primarily descendants of the Rev. Robert Stockton, one of the most well-known Baptist ministers and father of a large family in Barren and Metcalfe Co. She asked me to get this organized and published and I just finished it. There are 322 pages of family charts, marriages, wills, deeds, correspondence - with the majority of the pages being photocopies of the originals. Gladys also tracked the family in Cumberland Co and some back into NC and VA. She included in-depth reports on families that married into the Stockton family - HALL, GARNETT, HAYDON and other families. As always, I'll offer you the index to the book to look through - with the warning that it is 28 pages long and contains over 5,000 names! I am so thankful to Gladys and the researchers of the past who did their research the hard way - a lot of foot work, reading old microfilm, making copies on the old copy machines, walking the cemeteries. Wishing you all a great day! Sandi SCKY Links: http://www.public.asu.edu/~moore/Gorin.html GGP: http://ggpublishing.tripod.com/
