Hoping someone will take pity on an old, frustrated woman who has spent the last week trying to figure out who Ambrose Spear's parents and family were. This Ambrose was born abt 1878 in KY and married Settie Bailey on 13 Jan 1898 in Monroe Co. (copy actually says Ambroe). Later, in the 1930 Monroe Co. census, he turns up but wife's name is Mattie D., age 45. Children enumerated then were Homer J., Harlan C., Hanley F., Cloyd H. and Losie R.
