Park City - Edith Philpott Thompson, 89 died Thursday, March 22, 2007, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. The Cumberland County native was the daughter of the late Barton and Alta Davis Philpott and the wife of Ervin Thompson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Park City United Methodist Church. She is survived by one son: Richard Thompson (Rita) of Fraser of Mich.: one daughter Lou Ira Salley (Clyde) of Park City; seven grandchildren: Elizabeth Nagle, Mary Thompson, Greg Thompson, Mike Thompson, Heather Melnkyk, Randall Salley and Russell Salley; And seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2;30 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2007, at the Park City United Methodist Church with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery. Phillip Rogers
