I have a question.....what was the usual circumstances for women to obtain land deeds since women's rights were so limited? I am most interested in the Oct 1815 #42-67 Vacant Land Deed listing Rebeckah (Rebecca) Rigdon. I believe this to be the mother of my Jesse Rigdon as she later deed and sold land to Jesse W. Rigdon.
