    1. [SCKY] PUZZLER & BOOK
    2. Sandi Gorin via
    3. I think it's Monday again ... those weekends go quickly don't they? Charlie has put up the puzzler of the week. I hope I get a LOT of guesses on this one as believe me, some friends of mine didn't know the answer to this one and it really surprised me! Give it a try by clicking on the link in my signature line called Sandi's puzzlers. In my "spare" time, I finished another book in the land grant series. I'm working on counties that involve south central Kentucky and which I have a personal interest in too. This volume is on Logan County which was once a very large county and has been reduced many times over the years. There are Barren Co people in it which of course split off into other counties. As with the earlier series, I'm showing the name of the individual seeking a land grant, the number of acres, the date the land was surveyed, the book where it was registered and the location based on the nearest waterway, if any. There are about 3,300 land entries shown. The book also includes progressive maps of Logan Co from formation through changes, list of the major waterways now in existence, a brief history of the county, a write-up on the Red River and Gasper River and of the Great Revival (Awakening as it was called) that took place here. I have tried to correct errors in spelling of the names which are shown in error. If you have interest, you may contact me privately reference the availability, etc. Now - go out and have a great day; we might as well since there is a whole week ahead of us!
