The South Central KY Historical and Genealogical Society will be meeting Thursday evening, 25 Sept, 6 pm at the Mary Wood Weldon Library in Glasgow. Our speaker will be Nancy Baird, formerly of Western KY University. She will be speaking on "The Philistines Are Among Us" - the Civil War as seen through the eyes of a young lady. Nancy always puts on a wonderful program and is a favorite. She has authored a book previously and will be introducing her newest book. She is always willing to take questions and her personality and knowledge makes her a welcome return speaker. Then - the Southern Kentucky Genealogical Society in Bowling Green will be meeting 15 Sept at the Kentucky Museum on Western's campus. Bill Dow will talk about his mother's genealogy, "My Liles that fell through the cracks". If you have a story about your genealogy research, good or bad, you are welcome to share at the meeting. Jonathan Jeffery will be the October speaker.
