I know that 1911 seems awfully current, but - it was over 100 years ago. In this year there were 805 recorded births in our county. Although many or most of these births can be found on-line, there are errors and I wanted to try to find out more information when I could. I checked the Barren Co marriages to see if the parents had married here; double checked spellings (and we all know about how names can be clobbered!), I looked at the 1920 census to see if the family was found, etc. Some were very illusive and out of the 805 births, 258 were not to be found. Either the name was entered incorrectly, I totally over-looked them or they just "disappeared!" For some time now, I'm going to save you hopefully a lot of searching. I'm taking this from my publication of the same name and hope the series will be of a help. I will show the name of the child, when born, the mother's maiden name, the father's name and any additional information I could find on them. A LONG project that I tackled!
