    3. Plaintiff: Sarah Ferguson Defendant: R. G. Ferguson Date: 11 May 1899 File No. 279 Another divorce case. Parties married in KY in 1895; both reside Monroe Co. They lived together until 1896 (month and day not shown) when defendant deserted her though she had always treated him a kind and affectionate manner. She prays for a divorce and to be restored to her maiden name of Sarah TUDOR. J C CARTER was her attorney. Depositions taken: James L. Ferguson, taken at Rock Bridge in Monroe Co on 31 Jan 1900. 34 years old, lives Monroe Co, knew both parties. Stated the couple were married in Barren Co in 1895, lived in Monroe Co. Lived together 4 years but "they did not live together but about six months before defendant left her. He had visited them while they lived together; she treated him well; he abandoned her through no fault of hers. Tom Ferguson taken same time and place. 26 years old, lives Monroe Co, knows the parties. Same statements as above. The cause came on and was submitted for trial and Judgment upon the petition and proof at the Court was sufficiently advised. It is the opinion that the Plaintiff, Sarah Ferguson, is entitled to the relief sought in her petition . It it therefore adjudged of the Court that Sarah Ferguson be divorced from the defendant R. G. Ferguson and that she be restored to her former name Sarah Tudor. It is further ordered and adjudged that the defendant, R. G. Ferguson pay all costs expended by the plaintiff in bringing including $25. for attorney's fees. Cause is stricken from the docket.
