    2. Sandi Gorin via
    3. I'm concluding this case with just a list of the deponents as most of the statements previously shown are repeated. Deposition of J J VAWTERS, taken 3 Sept 1898 at the Clerk's office. Age 71, live Monroe Co, farmer & merchant. Knew both 20 years or longer. Deposition of Laura EMBERTON, same time & place. Age 27, lives Monroe Co, knew both parties. She was married to plaintiff's brother. Deposition of J. M. CHAPMAN. 63 years old, lives Monroe Co, knows both parties. Deposition of Harmon H. EMBERTON, 45 years old, lives Metcalfe Co, knows parties. Brother of plaintiff. Baby that was crying and mentioned previously was named Virgil. Lives 18 miles from the parties. Deposition of T G FERGUSON, taken at Rock Bridge 12 Aug 1898. 30 years old, farmer, knows parties. Defendant is his father; father is about 70 years old, a widower. Plaintiff is a widower. Defendant is living with him since the separation. Deposition of W G BUSHONG, same time and place.51 years old, live Monroe Co; lived 2 miles from the parties.First wife of defendant had been dead about 2 months before he remarried to plaintiff. Defendant's children objected to the marriage. Deposition of H B BUSHONG, same time & place. Age 75, farmer, lives Monroe, knew Ferguson since childhood, lived about 1/4 mile of parties. Deposition of Phebe BARTLEY, same time and place. Age 39, lives Monroe Co, live 1 1/2 mile from parties while they were married. Defendant's former wife had been dead about 6 weeks or 2 months before he remarried. After all of this - no conclusion in the file. Were they divorced finally? Next week another Ferguson divorce, a much shorter one. 3. Yes, they were divorced and Daniel remarried in 1899. Mary Ann never remarried. Daniel died in 1900 and Mary Ann in 1943...both buried at Slagg's Creek Cemetery.
